I am first and foremost an IT specialist. But this site reflects my romantic and, at times, whimsical side. That's why I also call it Webado Poeticals.

Many of the poems to be found on this site were penned years ago, when I was involved with a songwriters' group. We used to run little quizzes, where we'd each have to write a poem or song lyric on some theme, feeling, role playing, pattern, and so on.

Going back to my childhood I occasionally wrote little poems which mostly ended up in the trash can.

Later in life there have been many stretches of no inspiration whatsoever.

I got involved with that songwriters' group and forum when my daughter started her songwriter life which later became her career. I wanted to understand the creative process better and in any case I've always been a sucker for forums.

That group tolerated me, a non-songwriter, mainly because I was able to help with technical issues such as website building and encoding music files so they can be streamed on the web. Those were still early days, so there was not such a plethora of tools available to everybody and what there was, needed explaining, which is where I came in.

On a whim I started taking part in the lyric writing contests we had, just for fun. Which is how I ended up with much of the material in this little collection. A lot is tongue in cheek which made for some amusing critiques from other members of the group.

The group was dismantled at one point when the forum was shut down. The forum had been hosted by a well known organization, the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, to which most of the group members used to submit songs regularly.
