Rain showers falling
Slow hours stalling
Dark clouds shifting
Blue thoughts drifting.

Wind and torrents
Stormy moments
A weighty shroud
Of blackest cloud.

A moonless night
A wingless flight
Nowhere to go
No oars to row.

And sleep at last
The storm has passed
The night's serene
A lovely scene.
